Getting There - Jamaica has two international airports: Sangster International Airport (MBJ) in Montego Bay and Norman Manley International Airport (KIN) in Kingston with direct flights from major cities worldwide. For those heading to Ocho Rios, the nearby Ian Fleming International Airport (IFIA) offers convenient access for private and smaller charter flights.
 
Travel Requirements - You can enter Jamaica visa-free for tourism purposes, just make sure you have a passport that is valid for 6 months after traveling.
 
Transportation - Getting around Jamaica is convenient and accessible. Taxis, rental cars, busses, shuttles, and organized tours are available for exploring the island's attractions. Travel Tip - If you rent a car, keep in mind they drive on the left side of the road.

 
Weather- Jamaica enjoys a tropical climate with warm temperatures year-round. Rainy seasons are from May to June and September to November. Hurricane season runs from June to November. 

 

Best Time to Visit- For quieter beaches and discounted rates, consider visiting during one of Jamaica's shoulder seasons - April through early June and September through mid-December. For the best weather plan your trip between December and March.
 
Currency - The Jamaican dollar is the official currency, but US dollars are widely accepted. Most credit and debit cards are accepted but keep some cash on hand just in case. Travel Tip - Exchange rates fluctuate daily so keep an eye out for the best rates.
